Merry Christmas!

Here are a few pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. The kids, of course, were so excited, especially because Aunt Brooke was able to spend Christmas with us.

Cassidy was so excited about her "Babass" (princess) jammies.
She talked about them all night.

Ellie got a beautiful new necklace

Cassidy really appreciated every gift she opened.
After she opened each gift, she wanted to wear it/use it/play with it.
Here she is in her new Dora shirt, new leggings and a tutu from Uncle Eric and Aunt Ashley.

A Haircut for Cassidy

Cassidy got her first haircut today. I was inspired to do it by my cousin-in-law who just got her little girl's hair cut the other day. Cassidy's hair was quite long, but so scraggly. I wanted to even things out so it looked better as it continues to grow. Cassidy was a little nervous at first, but once she got to sit in a cool car with a horn and watch Berenstein Bears, she was good to go. Mason got to blow bubbles for her and Ellie got to show her some special toys. Everyone was really excited about the whole experience, and the cut turned out so cute!

Ellie's Dance Recital

Ellie did such a good job at her recital! She was so cute up there with her group. We are going to get a DVD of her recital after the new year and I can't wait to watch it again. Cassidy was mesmerized the whole time watching all the dancers in tutus, and Mason liked watching all the dancers, but especially Ellie. Uncle Cameron, Aunt Brittany, Cade and Connor came up to watch her. We were happy they got to come see her. Good job Ellie!

Snowman!

We had some snow today and it was perfect for building a snowman. The name for this particular snowman didn't come as easy as in years past. I remember building "Jonasty" and "Twofin." So what is this one named? It was more difficult to decide because we had to deal with one child who insisted it was a boy and the other who insisted it was a girl. They could not agree on a name. Finally, I left the conversation and left it up to them to decide. They came to me and told me that this snowman is named "Santa." Something they both could live with. Maybe next time we will have to build two snowpeople, one male and one female.

Cassidy sure does miss out on a lot during nap time!
Shhh! Don't tell her!

Dance Recital Preview

Ellie has her first dance recital this Saturday. We are all so excited to see her dances that she has been practicing. She wore her costume to class today. How cute!

Temple Square

We went to see the lights at Temple Square. No matter how many times I go, I am always in awe with how they light every single branch of each tree. It's really amazing to see.
