Last Game

We've had a lot of fun watching Mason play T-ball this year. Today was his last game and he got another trophy. This one even has his name on it!

 Go Red Sox!
Here's another huge smile from Mason
when he got his trophy from Coach Purtell.
He couldn't believe that I didn't get my first
trophy until I was 12, and he already
has 2 and he's only 6!

Here are some action shots from today's game...

This was Mason getting up from sliding home.
He slid right on his knees!

Lots of action at first base...

Random June

Cassidy posing with flowers after eating a popsicle.

Cassidy and Connor reading with Papa Steve at his birthday dinner.

Mason lost his fourth tooth. He looks so different with it gone!

Ellie's Water Party

It's Ellie's turn! We had another early birthday celebration for Ellie since we will be gone when her real birthday comes along. It was a success. The girls had a great time. There was a definite difference in the atmosphere from Mason's party. A party of girls is very different than a party of boys.
 Water shooters!

Cassidy quickly figured out how to use the water shooters.

Playing catch with the water balloons.

Ellie wanted to have cupcakes.
Of course the flowers had to be pink!

Dinosaur Park

We love going to the Dinosaur Park. This time we went with our "cousins" (they're more like second cousins once removed or something like that). We love hanging out with George, Grant, James, Joseph and of course, their mom, Marian!

Cassidy "reading"

Cassidy loves this cookie monster book she continually checks out from the library. I think her voice is quite impressive!

Water Party

Mason wanted to have an early birthday party this year (about 3 months early!). We are moving in a month or two and he wanted to be able to celebrate his birthday with some good friends he's made. We decided to do a water party. We had a slip-n-slide, sprinkler, water balloons and water shooters. I had no idea that all the boys would want to play with only the water shooters the whole time! They were a hit! It was a very hot day and the kids had so much fun.

Water shooters!

 Opening gifts

Cake time!
We were happy that all his friends could come.

It Finally Happened...

When I was about 15 years old, my mom, my two sisters and I went into San Francisco for the day. While we were there, we decided to buy a toe ring for each of the sisters. We bought the same one and we all put it on the same toe. I have had my toe ring on my toe since then (except when I had to take it off for water polo games) which means I've been wearing it for 16 years.

This morning, Ellie and Mason each found half of it, broken, on the carpet. I knew this day would come. I can't believe after so many years it will no longer be on my toe. I have an indentation on my toe and with this warm weather I have a tan line as well. Even though the ring will no longer be there, at least I have a a slight reminder of it.

Ellie

Ellie has been asking to get her hair cut short for awhile now, so we went and got it done this morning. So cute!
