3 months

Cassidy is 3 months old. She is such a good, happy baby. She is sleeping 9 hours at night which I really appreciate! She is a lot smaller than Mason and Ellie. She only weighs 13 pounds. Both Ellie and Mason weighed 18 pounds at 4 months, so if she wants to catch up, she'll have to put on 5 pounds in a month. I guess that's possible! We love her so much and she makes me so happy whenever I see her smile!

Mason's Bump

Last year Mason hit his head while we were in California. It left a huge goose egg and was pretty nasty. Well, this year he had a similar experience. He went to a San Francisco Giants game and was having a great time. He was walking up the cement steps, with his hands in his pocket, and he tripped and hit his head on the step. He spent the next little while at the First Aid Station making sure he was ok. I had stayed at home and when Dave called me to tell me what happened I felt so bad, because I couldn't give him a hug! He was pretty brave about it, and no real damage besides another "goose bump" (his words) in between his eyebrows. I took a daily picture of it to document how it changed. I wish the pictures showed it the way it actually looked in person. Poor little guy. Why does it always happen in California?

Annual trip to California

It is July, which means we just got back from a visit with my family in California. As usual it was an awesome trip and it's now hard to get back to reality. This year was extra special, because my entire family was able to be there. Everyone was together for 24 hours before people had to start going home. We kept really busy and took lots of pictures.

We spent almost everyday in Grammy and Grampy's pool. It was so nice! Mason learned to put his head under the water, swim on his stomach and jump in from the side by himself. I was so proud!!!! It was also Cassidy's first experience in the pool. She seemed to really like it! She only lasted about 20 minutes, then she started to shiver! Ellie put her head under the water too, and loved the freedom of swimming with her floaties.

Our trip to California is never complete unless we take a trip to the beach. This year we went to Stinson Beach. Even though it was overcast, it was really warm and Mason and Ellie had no problem getting wet in the ocean.

Happy 4th of July!

We had a lot of fun watching fireworks on the 3rd of July this year. We watched them at the golf course near Grandma Nancy and Papa Steve's house. They always do them on the 3rd, and it is a pretty spectacular show. Mason and Ellie were so excited about them! They had a comment for every explosion they saw. It was so cute to see their excitement. Cassidy was awake for the show and stared at the lights too! As we were walking home Mason said, "My favorite holiday is July 3." He's going to be disappointed when he finds out the rest of America celebrates it on the 4th!
