Merry Christmas 2010!

It was another wonderful Christmas! The kids were so excited. We went out to lunch on Christmas Eve then came home and opened our pajamas! We've carried on the tradition from Dave's family of waiting in your room on Christmas morning until you hear "All Around the Christmas Tree" start playing. We woke up on Christmas morning at 8 am to Mason and Ellie yelling to us, "Mom! Dad! Turn on the music!" We opened gifts, ate an amazing breakfast casserole and after Cassidy finally took a nap, we went over to Cameron and Brittany's house for Christmas dinner. By the time we got home, we were all exhausted. It is so fun experiencing Christmas with small children.

Ellie was so surprised that her jammies were pink!

Snuggle time!

Stockings on Christmas morning.

Cassidy spent the entire morning crawling around getting into everyone's gifts and candy and trying to eat as much of the wrapping paper as she could get before we grabbed it out of her mouth!

Eating!

Mason has been asking for binoculars for so long!
Thanks Grammy Trish!

Beautiful Ellie modeling her new snow hat.

Can you find Cassidy in this picture?

Aunt Megan sent the kids some straw glasses. How awesome are these?
The kids are having a great time using them!

Cassidy Crawls!

She's figured it out! She's a little slow at it right now, but I know that won't last long. She is only 6 3/4 months old. The other kids didn't crawl until much later. I think it has to do with her weighing about 4 pounds less than them, and also having two older siblings to watch and want to keep up with. Cassidy is loving the fact that she can move around on her own. Just today she has already gotten ahold of two things we don't want little babies to grab (playing cards and Ellie's water cup). She is very determined to get where she wants to go, and satisfied when she gets there. Good work, Cassidy!

Snow

It's here. The kids are excited and have had fun playing in it. It wasn't so bad for me today. I don't think I mind snow as much when the temperatures stay fairly warm so the snow melts throughout the day. Plus, it's pretty cute to watch Mason and Ellie roll around in it, throw snowballs, build snow castles and snowmen, and do their sled.

Ellie loves to eat snow.

Mason came up with the name for our snowman (as he usually does).
This one is named "Two fin."
I'm not sure on the spelling, or where he came up with it.

She's too cute!

Cassidy is 6 months old now and getting so strong. She's pushing up on her knees all the time and can almost get herself into a sitting position from laying on her tummy. When there is a toy out of her reach, she tries so hard to move her legs to get to it. She is going to be crawling here in no time!

I can't get enough of this face!

Almost to sitting!

Ellie took this picture.

She is the sweetest little baby!!!!!

Happy Halloween!

This is the first year the kids actually helped clean out the pumpkins. They have always been grossed out about it, and I had to do all the work.

Hard at work!

This is the pumpkin that Ellie picked out for Cassidy.
I love this picture, because I finally caught Cassidy's smile.

Ellie was a pink witch. She had been talking about
being a witch since Halloween night last year.

Mason chose Ironman.
(I'm not sure why. He's never seen the movie and doesn't really know anything about it)
I love the built in muscles.

Cassidy had no choice in her costume, so we dressed her as a hotdog!
She liked wearing it for a little while!

Our family ready to go trick-or-treating.

Yeah, it was raining, but we braved it anyway. The kids would have been
so disappointed if we didn't go out to some houses.

This was one of the last houses we went to. There was no argument from the kids when we said it was time to go home. Poor little Ellie was shivering so bad!
But it was so worth the candy they got!

Ellie's Jack-o-lantern. She told me exactly
how she wanted each part of the face shaped.

Mason's pumpkin. He wanted it to have a dimple.
