Pumpkin Patch!

Our children have always gone to the same pumpkin patch up in Farmington every year of their lives. This year, we got to experience a new pumpkin patch down in Springville. It was a lot of fun and was actually a pretty hot day!

 They had a small petting zoo. Mason was the only child willing to touch (or even get close to) the animals.

 The kids LOVED the "Pit of Corn." I don't know what they really call it, that's what I decided to name it. They didn't want to leave.

He's 7!

How can my kids be growing up so fast? Mason turned 7 today and that means a year away from being baptized! Mason had a great day. He was able to open up his gifts in the morning, then we went to church, then he stayed busy for the rest of the afternoon putting together his LEGO sets. He got 6 new packs today and put together 5! He wanted to have chicken rolls for dinner, which were very tasty, and for dessert he wanted brownies with chocolate frosting and crumbled Crunch bars on top. Delicious! He told me he had a great birthday, and that's what I hope for every year. Happy Birthday, Mason!

Bridal Veil Falls

We took a little hike to go see Bridal Veil Falls in Provo Canyon. It's pretty awesome. The kids had a good time and it was nice to enjoy the Fall colors on the trees!

She's 5!

Happy Birthday, Ellie!

Today we celebrated Ellie's 5th birthday. I can't believe she is 5! Today we watched a movie, painted our toenails, went to the park, opened presents, ate Jimmy John's for dinner, had yellow cupcakes with chocolate frosting and went back to the park to play with Ellie's new soccer ball. It was a great day! Ellie is a smart, beautiful, caring 5 year old and we are lucky to have her in our family!

First Day of Preschool

Ellie went to her first day of preschool today. Her teachers are Miss Emily and Miss Morgan. She was so excited to go! She couldn't stop talking about it since last night after we went to the open house. The first thing she got to do when she got there was play with play-doh! What a great way to start a school day!

Cutest soccer player...EVER!!!!!!

Ellie played so well today in her soccer game. She really figured out how to go after the ball. It was so fun watching her try so hard the whole game and she scored her first goal!!!!

1st Grade

Mason is now a 1st grader, and he has been eating his lunch at school this week (that's weird for me). It's kind of sad not having him around. After we dropped him off on the first day, Ellie said, "I'm going to miss Mason." She has spent her whole life with him only being gone for a couple hours at a time. Now she's not going to see him for 7 hours! Cassidy also said, "I miss Mason." Even though we miss Mason, he has a great teacher and we are very excited about this school year!  

Soccer Time

This year both Mason and Ellie get to do soccer. Mason is playing on a much bigger field with goalies, while Ellie gets to have a practice before and then play a 20 minute game. Ellie is #5 and is taller than anyone else on her team, including the boys. Mason is #7 and puts forth a lot of effort running up and down the huge field. It is so fun to watch them play! They enjoy it a lot too!

 I love this shot! You can see how much more intense it is at this age. There is constant running and players are always falling down!

Big Girl Bed

Cassidy is SUPER excited for her new big girl bed. We got it for her yesterday, and she has spent a lot of time snuggling up in her blankets. She slept great and didn't even think about getting out! Now, if she'd only figure out potty training!

Our New Place

Here it is! My goal was to have our stuff out of boxes in a week, and I got it done in about 5 days. I can't stand leaving things out with no place to put them.

 Here is a photo gallery of our new place. It is a super nice condo community and we are about 20 steps from the clubhouse, fitness center, pool and playground. 

 Our front door is downstairs, and you walk up to get to the living area.

I have really enjoyed being so close to the mountains. They are quite impressive to look at when you live right at the foot of them!
