My latest project...

I have been busy sewing some princess dresses for Ellie and Cassidy. This was by far the most difficult sewing project I've done in awhile, but it wasn't too bad. I really do love to sew and I find it relaxing. Here they are...

Great Brain Project

Mason did a presentation in his class today on his Great Brain Project . This is a project he did completely outside of school. He chose his own topic, then studied it, and prepared a presentation with the information he found. What great practice for a 1st grader! He did most of it on his own, but he did get some help from Mom. He chose to learn more about LEGOS. I have a video of his presentation, but it's too big to put on here (sorry, family, I wish you could see it). He was very proud of accomplishing such a big goal. We're so proud of him too!

OOBLECK

Definition: a substance that acts like a liquid, and can be poured, but that acts like a solid when you apply force to it by pushing it or squeezing it. It's made by mixing cornstarch with water.

Oobleck is a non-newtonian fluid.

They had so much fun with this!

Cassidy did not like the idea of touching it, so she 

spent the time trying to clean up after Mason and Ellie. 

She did an awesome job!
