Last day of school dance festival
The last day of school is always a dance festival. It is so fun to watch.
Cassidy loving her first time doing a dance at school.
Ellie got to stand next to two of her good buddies, Reese and Kayla.
Mason didn't get into it as much this year. A typical 4th grade boy who is asked to do a pioneer dance in front of people.

Way to go, Mason!
A few months ago, Mason entered an essay contest for 4th graders for the state of Utah. Turns out he won 3rd place! He wrote on the topic "Why I like my Community." He was honored at the school assembly this morning and was given his certificate by the mayor of Provo, John Curtis. He also earned $50 in prize money. On top of that, his school received $500. Amazing! This contest is put on by the Utah League of Cities and Towns. They came down to the assembly and had a video camera to catch Mason's reaction to winning and filmed the recognition. Now they want to film Mason around the places in Provo he talked about in his essay and have him read some of it. They make a video and show it at their convention in September to mayors and city leaders across Utah. It's so crazy! Good job, Mason!!

It's time for Dodger baseball!
Mason is playing ball again. And of course, he's loving it. He is pitching and playing first base. He had his second game today and hit a triple! Of course, my camera wasn't ready and didn't record the hit. Believe me, though, it was awesome! And in case you were wondering, after two games, his batting average is 1.000.

Happy 6th Birthday
Cassidy turned 6 today and we have spent the weekend celebrating. Cassidy wanted to go to kangaroo zoo, so we spent an afternoon jumping on big inflatables. We went to dinner at Olive Garden and ate some cupcakes and homemade ice cream. She opened up gifts and spent Sunday evening watching Star Wars the Force Awakens and eating ice cream sandwiches. A pretty great birthday for a pretty great girl.
