Cassidy's Swim Meet

Cassidy had her first swim meet of the summer. She swam in a relay and did 25 yard free and 25 yard back. She came in first for all 7-8 girls in free and dropped 6 seconds since last summer. She came in second in backstroke and dropped 3 seconds since last summer. She is looking so strong and tries so hard!

Cassidy started her summer swim team this week. She's super excited to be doing it and she is already looking so strong in the water. Maybe one day soon she will start swimming year round with her sister.

Mason's Baseball

Mason is playing baseball again. He has moved up to the next division and is playing with 5th and 6th graders (he's in 5th). He's on the Padres and has a great coach and great kids on his team.

Cassidy's Art

Cassidy had an art show for her 1st grade class. They do the Great Artists program where they learn about the styles of different artists and try to use that style as they recreate a famous painting. I think it's so great that they do this.

Also, Cassidy drew a picture that represents her school, Provost Cougars. Her picture was chosen out of all the 1st graders to hang in the hall all next year. Pretty cool!

I did it again!

Half Marathon #6

I'm just glad I crossed the finish line this year. My training was not very good, and I definitely felt that on race day. It has given me the motivation to make sure I get all my runs in for next year!

Violin for Cassidy

Cassidy gets to learn violin at school this year. Her class put on a little performance for the parents to show all that they have learned. Her teacher has done a really good job helping them know the proper techniques of playing violin.

Cassidy's Friend Party

Cassidy wanted a Butterfly friend party this year, so that's what we did. She invited some good friends and they had fun wearing butterfly wings, painting butterfly suncatchers, playing pin the antenna on the butterfly, going on a butterfly hunt and playing freeze dance. Cassidy wanted cupcakes and vanilla ice cream. Everyone had fun and Cassidy is excited to turn 7!
