For our family, this time of year means getting out of the snow.
This year we took a two week long vacation and it was awesome!
We headed down to Arizona to spend a few days with Grandma Nancy and Papa Steve. The kids had fun playing with Grandma and Papa and their new dog, Cooper. Mason learned how to play chess and tried to teach Ellie. Ellie enjoyed Papa telling her stories, especially the one about Tabby the cat. We also got to go swimming which was a fun thing to do in February!
Cassidy LOVED the water. She didn't mind it splashing her face at all!

After our visit to Arizona, we made the drive to Southern California to go to Disneyland. We met up with our friends, the Finches, and spent 2 days at the park. It was so fun to be in such a happy place with our kids. Though they got tired, they loved it. Mason's favorite rides were Pirates of the Caribbean and the rockets. Ellie loved the teacups, and went on them 3 times. Cassidy loved It's a Small World. She was dancing and singing along as she watched the dolls!
Waiting in line!
Cassidy's favorite
Ellie, Cassidy and I waited in line for an hour to meet the princesses. It was totally worth the wait when I saw the look on Ellie's face when she met them. As she turned the corner and saw Sleeping Beauty (her favorite) waiting for her, her face lit up. She didn't hesitate at all, and walked right up to Sleeping Beauty and gave her a hug. She met Belle and Jasmine as well. When we left, Ellie literally skipped out of there. Her dreams had come true!

After Disneyland, we drove up to Northern California to visit with Grammy Trish and Grampy Mike. While we were there, we saw the great-grandparents, went to see the Golden Gate Bridge, did some dancing and had fun relaxing together as a family.

She just had to taste it!

Why does that picture of Ellie dancing remind me so much of Lisa Freshman and Sophmore year? :)
