I gave Cassidy her first pair of kid scissors. They were a pair that belonged to Ellie that had become very dull. I figure that would be a good start for Cassidy. She absolutely loved the idea of having her own pair of scissors. She stood next to her table for an incredibly long time cutting up a piece of paper. She kept picking up the bigger scraps and cutting them into smaller ones. It was totally worth the mess to have her busy for so long. She didn't try to cut anything else besides the paper. She was very proud of her new found cutting skills.
