Cassidy Stitches

I had to take Cassidy to the ER last night at 10:00 pm. We were home late and she was taking a shower and slipped and hit her chin on the side of the bathtub. There was a nasty gash which was obvious in need of stitches. Apparently instacares close at 9:00 pm. Why don't they stay open later? So Cassidy and I headed to the ER. Once we were there I was assured it was necessary to stitch it up as soon as possible. She got to sit on a bed and watch Phineas and Ferb for awhile as they put numbing stuff on her chin. She was so brave! When the doctor talked to her and told her what he was going to do, I could see Cassidy start breathing harder and faster and her body started to shake. She was nervous but she did amazing. The worst part was the second numbing shot, but she just squeezed my hand tight and got through it. She ended up with 7 stitches in her chin and we didn't get home until 1:30 am. She was a trooper. (Don't worry, I didn't take any bloody pictures).
