First Swim Meet

Cassidy has been practicing for a week and already got to participate in her first swim meet. She swam the 50 Yard Free and 50 Yard Back. Being only 7 years old, she has never raced 50's before; only 25's. She did amazing! She is so strong! I am very grateful to her older sister, Ellie, who took her behind the blocks (where I'm not allowed to go) and showed her how to get ready for her race. She stood there with Cassidy until she was on the starting blocks. That really eased my mind having her help out.

Obviously, Cassidy got 2 best times.  Ellie swam 2 best times in the 50 Yard Fly and 100 Yard Free. It was a fast day for the Long Girls.
