Christmas Activities

We stay busy every Christmas season doing a christmas activity each day. Here is some of the fun we did this year!

We made "Scrappy Snowmen"

We also made handprint wreaths.

We were able to spend Christmas in California this year. We went to the Oakland temple to look at the lights and to listen to Grampy Mike sing in the choir of "The Messiah."

I gave Cassidy her first pair of kid scissors. They were a pair that belonged to Ellie that had become very dull. I figure that would be a good start for Cassidy. She absolutely loved the idea of having her own pair of scissors. She stood next to her table for an incredibly long time cutting up a piece of paper. She kept picking up the bigger scraps and cutting them into smaller ones. It was totally worth the mess to have her busy for so long. She didn't try to cut anything else besides the paper. She was very proud of her new found cutting skills.

More Lights!

We are really into seeing Christmas lights! Tonight we went up to Temple Square and saw the beautiful lights. We also walked around the new City Creek Center. They had a pretty impressive Christmas display with decorations, live music and a water show with their awesome fountains. What made it even better is that it was 52 degrees while we were there! We didn't even need our hats and gloves.

Daddy's Magical Wonderland

We made a special trip up to visit our old house and to see "Daddy's Magical Wonderland." We used to drive by these lights almost every night during the Christmas season, so we felt like we had to go back to see them at least once. So fun!

Snow Day

It started as rain then turned to wet, wet snow. Of course, we had to go play in it!

Happy Halloween!

We had a busy day with a preschool party, a school costume parade, then off to Lehi to have dinner and trick-or-treating with our cousins. Fun, fun, fun!!!
