First Snow Day

Technically, this wasn't the first snowfall of the season. When the real first snow came, we were out of town. So for our family, this was our first opportunity to go out and play with it. Mason was dressed immediately and out the door playing. He started shoveling the snow and throwing it up in the air. This was his choice of activity the entire time we were outside. It took Ellie about 15 minutes of watching Mason before she decided it was safe to go walk in the snow herself. This was Ellie's first experience with snow. Once she ventured out, she enjoyed walking around in it, but she didn't like how the snow stuck to her boots. Every time there was snow accumulated on the tips of her toes, she made me knock it off.

Good times! We haven't had any snow here (except for a tiny bit late at night last weekend), but I'm interested to see how Samuel will react to it.

You are such a good mom. I saw the snow and decided we needed to have an inside/errand day. My excuse is that my mom bought the girls snowboots for Christmas and we can't get them out yet.
