Happy Easter!

We had a great time celebrating Easter. Ellie has been wanting to dye the eggs for about 2 weeks, and has been asking everyday if it was the day we got to do it. She was thrilled on Saturday when I finally said yes.

Beautiful eggs!

Look at Ellie's excitement. She told me that Easter is her favorite holiday.

Cassidy was into finding eggs too. She was more
interested in the plastic containers than the candy.
Mason is getting pretty fast at finding those eggs.

Buddies!

We had Geoff, Erin and cousin Cora come over for dinner.
Ellie and Mason love baby Cora!!!!

(Cameron and Brittany were going to come, but Cade got sick. We missed having them!)

Mason loves holding Cora.

Cassidy thought Cora was pretty interesting. She's sticking out her tongue, because she was copying what Cora was doing. She thought it was pretty funny!

We were lucky to have Uncle Eric spend a few days with us last week. Mason and Ellie couldn't have been more excited. Before Eric got here, Mason told me that he was more excited for Eric to be here than for Christmas! Mason and Ellie kept him busy playing pretty much the whole time. It took Cassidy a couple of days to warm up, but after a few rounds of peek-a-boo with Eric, she decided he was safe and let him hold her. We had a lot of fun with Eric. Five minutes after he left, Mason said to me, "I feel empty inside." We all felt a little empty when Eric left. We can't wait to see him again!

Playing baseball

Eric's birthday was the following week,
so we decided to make him cupcakes!

Eric got to watch one of Mason's soccer games.
I like this picture. Cassidy was ready to run out on the field to join them.

Just a funny picture I liked.

Cassidy is walking everywhere!

Cassidy has been able to take steps for awhile now, but it was this week that she decided to really take off. She walks everywhere! She definitely prefers it to crawling these days.
Watch and see how good she is!

Winter Vacation

For our family, this time of year means getting out of the snow.
This year we took a two week long vacation and it was awesome!

We headed down to Arizona to spend a few days with Grandma Nancy and Papa Steve. The kids had fun playing with Grandma and Papa and their new dog, Cooper. Mason learned how to play chess and tried to teach Ellie. Ellie enjoyed Papa telling her stories, especially the one about Tabby the cat. We also got to go swimming which was a fun thing to do in February!

Cassidy LOVED the water. She didn't mind it splashing her face at all!

Warming up in the sun.

Listening to Papa tell stories.

After our visit to Arizona, we made the drive to Southern California to go to Disneyland. We met up with our friends, the Finches, and spent 2 days at the park. It was so fun to be in such a happy place with our kids. Though they got tired, they loved it. Mason's favorite rides were Pirates of the Caribbean and the rockets. Ellie loved the teacups, and went on them 3 times. Cassidy loved It's a Small World. She was dancing and singing along as she watched the dolls!

Waiting in line!

Cassidy's favorite

Ellie, Cassidy and I waited in line for an hour to meet the princesses. It was totally worth the wait when I saw the look on Ellie's face when she met them. As she turned the corner and saw Sleeping Beauty (her favorite) waiting for her, her face lit up. She didn't hesitate at all, and walked right up to Sleeping Beauty and gave her a hug. She met Belle and Jasmine as well. When we left, Ellie literally skipped out of there. Her dreams had come true!

After Disneyland, we drove up to Northern California to visit with Grammy Trish and Grampy Mike. While we were there, we saw the great-grandparents, went to see the Golden Gate Bridge, did some dancing and had fun relaxing together as a family.

Busy Working

Mason and Ellie are always busy "doing their work." They love to get paper, pencils, pens, crayons, stamps, scissors, glue, and staples and "do their work." They can stay busy with this for longer than almost any other activity. They are very creative with what they make, and they go through A LOT of paper. Cassidy likes joining in as well, but she's more interested in eating the paper than writing on it.

Working

Cassidy is learning what it means to be busy working.

I love this picture.
Mason loves Cassidy so much and she loves him too!
He is a huge helper and will "babysit" her while I get other things done.
He is such a great big brother.
